The uncommon phenomenon of water blooming induced by Exuviella cordata registered In 1969 is analyzed in comparison with the same phenomenon recorded in 1962 and that observed in the Mangalia lake in 1967. The conditions under which this phenomenon took place are discussed, pointing to the coincidence between the factors that induced the 1969 blooming. The effects of this phenomenon on pelagian life and fish living in the coastal area or on those visiting periodically this zone are discussed
