Abstract

The dynamics of development of reproduction organs and of the gametes maturation of Cystoseira barbata on the Romanian shore of the Block Sea is discussed. The reproduction process takes place during the whole year with a first maximum intensity in springtime and a second, less marked maximum, in the autumn. In winter and summer, short periods of stagnation of gamet elimination were recorded.
