Abstract

The paper presents the results of the catches analysis of the Romanian trawlers that have fished in NW Atlantic, in 197.3. Some species are of particular importance from which cod and mackerel dominate. It points out the high value of the yield of Statistical Area 6. At the same time some considerations are made concerning both the state of the main species stocks based on catches structure and proportions between different parts of the bodies.
