The paper gives the results of as experiment carried out during 1976 on the west side of the Black Sea, to determinate the superficial currents. During June, July and August at 44°20'N latitude and 70Nm distance from the Romanian shore 6,000 floating bottles were launched, from which 186 were found. Considering the arrival places, and the period until they reached shore, marine currents trajectory and speed have been deduced.
