Abstract

During 1987, 72 samples of mycoplankton collected from five stations off the Danube mouths, at 10, 20, 30, 40 m depth, have been analyzed. The 32 identified taxa belonged to the classes Deuteromycetes (orders: Hyphomycetes, Blastomycetes and Coelomycetes) and Phycomyetes (orders: Saprolegniales, Peronosporales and Mucorales). The species of the genera Candida, Rhodoto-rula, Cladosporium and Penicillium evinced high productions of spores at all depths and in the three working periods, representing dominant elements within fungal communities.
