The material presented in this paper is a brief description of the state of the main fish species of commercial interest at the Romanian littoral during the past five years. The following data are presented and analyzed as well: - Short biological characterization of the main fish species (sprat, anchovy, horse mackerel, turbot, dogfish, whiting); - Distribution and abundance of fishing agglomerations (maps); - Assessing the biomass of fishing agglomerations; - Population structure by size classes; - Growth parameters and mortality rates; - The degree of parasitization; - Recommendations for their management
