Abstract

The paper discusses the results of researches regarding turbot reproduction on the platform facing the Romanian Black Sea coast, over the 1966-1969 years. The sex ratio, componence by size and weight of the reproducing individuals, - sexual maturity, fecundity, reproduction area and time, dynamics of turbot population taking part in the reproduction process are analysed and the amount of fish species that can be exploited without affecting the reproduction stock is evaluated.
