In the paper the structure and dynamics of populations of the major six copepodes (Centropages ponticus, Acartia clausi, Pseudocanalus elongatus, Paracalanus parvus, Oithona nana and Oithona similis) as well as the seasonal and annual production and the P/B coefficients are presented on tbs basis of the zooplankton samples collected in 1970 and 1971 in the Romanian waters of the Black Sea, from above the continental platform. The gross annual production of copepodes represented 0,8 g/m3 of wet substance. The highest production was scored for Acartia clausi (more than 61%), followed by Pseudocalanus elongatus. (15,7%) and Oithona nana (10,8%). Paracalanus parvus and Oithona similis scored the lowest annual productions (2,6 and 1,6% respectively).
