Abstract

The authors conducted a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the fouling on the Romanian ships harbored in Constantza - Black Sea, based on 152 samples collected from the keel of 16 ships having ope­rated in different geographical areas. The results obtained are correlated with the utilization rate of the ships and with the main geographical areas travelled by them (the Black Sea - Romanian shore, the Black Sea - the Mediterranean and the Black Sea - the Mediterranean - other seas).
