Distribution of Mya arenaria l. populations in the western part of the Black Sea
Keywords:
distribution of Mya arenariaAbstract
The quantitative and qualitative distribution of the Mya arenaria bivalve in 1981 is presented on the basis of the samples collected on the Romanian littoral in 114 stations (down to 35 m depth north of Constanta and 50-60 m south of it). It is considered that the settlement of this bivalve in the Black Sea is an unfinished process continuing with the spread of its populations to greater depths in oozy zones with mussels.
