marine vegetation, Cystoseira beltAbstract
This paper summarizes the observations carried on during the summer season of 1978, with a view to show the present state of the marine vegetation along the Romanian coast of the Black Sea. The complete disappearance of the strong Cystoseira belt and a regressed succession are pointed out, the initial communities being replaced by clousters with simple structure and reduced biomass.
