Having in view the quality of two important species of fishes in the area of Falkland Islands - Macruronus magellanlcus and Merluccius spp. complete parasites studies have been carried out and a considerable number of diseases owing to parasites and the agents causing them have been determined. Apreciations are given of the quality as food and commercial quality of the infected fish and recommendations are provided in order prevent their transmission to people.
