The results of the observations and measurements carried out between 1972-1980 on the ecology and production of the main Enteromorpha species from the Romanian Black Sea are presented in the paper. The average multi- annual production for the whole rocky bottom area, between 0-5m depth (20.22 km2) is estimated at 2,129.50T/year (wet weight), or 383.31T/year (dry weight).
